My mom is going into surgery to have a rod put in her leg in the AM to counter some bone degradation. Dad sent me the following email:

If she remembers to turn on her Trac-fone, her number is xxx-xxx-1243 , just like the firing order on the Ford tractor.

I want to see this 10 cylinder Ford tractor.

Good luck to your mom. I hope she has a swift recovery.

Exactly, remove all trip hazards and fix any broken or loose hand railings, install any new ones needed, etc. while she is in the hospital. A handrail in the bathtub would also be prudent.

Thanks - it’s precursor to much larger things, but all part of the process...

Thanks - I need to get home (half a continent away) to provide some adult supervision.

Stubborn old farmers...

If you can’t do it, perhaps their Insurance will cover a contractor.

Bone loss == time to remove the trip hazards ASAP.

Thanks, their house is single-level, and fairly safe. The bone loss is site-specific to another issue.

The challenge is trying to get farmers to stop farming. If you have a contractor for that, let me know.
